Larsen & Toubro bags order worth 1103 crore

Larsen & Toubro informed the market today that the The Railway Business Unit of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged orders aggregating Rs. 1103 crore from various power plant developers for the construction of Merry-Go-Round Systems and construction of dedicated railway lines to link power plant sites to the main line rail network.
Order Details

> Rs. 365 crore order from Maithon Power Ltd, a JV of Tata Power and Damodar Valley Corporation, for construction of a 21 km dedicated rail link to their power plant at Maithon in Tharkhand.
> Nabba Power Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of L&T Power Development Ltd., has placed an order valued at Rs. 270 crore for construction of a 13 kin dedicated, double-track electrified rail link to its power plant at Rajpura in Punjab.
> EALCO has awarded L&T a Rs. 151 crore order for augmenting and strengthening its existing railway facilities at Korba in Chhattisgarh.
> L&T’s Railway Business Unit has also secured orders worth Rs. 317 crore from Sterlite Energy Ltd for further enhancement of its dedicated railway facilities that are already under implementation at Jharsuguda in Orissa.

Steel Strips Wheels saw 36 Per cent growth in December 2010

Steel Strips Wheels company sawa very good growth in the December 2010 compared to December 2009 , which means there will be good result from them for the Qtr endiong december 2010.

>They achieved highest ever production of 9.02 lacs Steel wheel rims during December,2010 as against 6.76 lacs during December, 2009 recording a growth of 33.5%.
>Also they have achieved the Export Sales of 84052 wheel rims during the month of December, 2010 as against 48221 wheel rims during the month of December,2009, recording a growth of 74.3%.

Steel Strips & Wheels Ltd receives repeat Export order of 5000 Steel Wheel Rims

Steel Strips Wheels Ltd has informed the market that they have been awarded yet another business by leading suppliers based in Germany catering to the European after market. These orders are repeat. First order is appx 5,000 wheels with a foreign exchange earning of nearly Euros 55,000. SSWL is pretty confident of getting repeat business from this organisation.

Hindustan Construction bags order worth 118.24 crore

Hindustan Construction Company Ltd has informed the market that the company has bagged orders as part of the consortium between HCC-CPPL- JV i.e. Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd (HCC) and Coastal Projects Pvt. Ltd (CPP) , the award has been bagged from North Frontier Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati for for Design and Construction of Single Tunnel No.1 (App. Total Length 3250 RM) at km 15.880 to km 19.500 in between Dholakal and Kalmal in connection with construction of New Railway Line Project – Jinbam – Tupul (Imphal) from North Frontier Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati.
Order value of the contract is 197.06 Crore.Total order value of 60 percent in it which is 118.24 will go to HCC,The project execution time is 24 months.

Tantia Constructions bags order worth almost 19.5 crore

Tantia Constructions Ltd has informed the market that the company has bagged order from Eastern Railway, Constructions Department Kolkata in the name of TANTIA-EDCL (JV), the order is for earthwork in filing with required compaction in Rly. embankment, approach road/ back filing of platform wall , blanketing, turfing, construction of Minor Bridges , and other misc. works from Haripal Station to Tarkeswar Station.

Reliance Infrastructure bags 11000 crore Mumbai Metro 2 project as part of consortium

we already know that Reliance infrastucture is already part of the Mumbai Metro 1 Project and now asa copnsortium of Reliance Infrastructure , Reliance Communications, and Canada’s SNC-Lavalin it has won the Mumbai Metro II project to link Navi Mumbai and Charkop and Mankhurd in suburban Mumbai.this project is 32 kilometre Metro-II line from Charkop, a western suburb of Mumbai, to Mankhurd in the east , it will have 27 stations , they are expecting to complete it by 2015.
The company will sign a concession agreement, giving the group 35 years to operate the railroad that can be extended by another 10 years, within 45 days of the issue of letter of award.
Im not sure what Relaince communication is doing in the consortium may be they are going to take care of the communication part but im sure when its finished this is going to be as of now the biggest metro in India.
They are expecting Financial closure would be completed within nine months of signing of the concession agreement.

Reliance Infra soars by 9 Percent on Buzz of order win

Reliance infrastructure is up by 9 percent or so after the news that reliance infra might bid again for the Hyderabad Metro rail project , orginally the order was awarded for Maytas Infra and now it has been revoked and Government of hyderabad might start opening the Bid again , Reliance infra was one of the main company which was showing keen interest , but not sure what made the news that they have won the order itself .

Just got after a long work and checked my portfolio specifically for the Railway stocks that i recommended before the railway budget .None of them are in green everything came down today .That itself tells us that there is nothing in this budget for wagon making or any other railway stocks so we will see what is this year highlights.

Railway Stocks to pick before Railway Budget 2009-2010

Railways related and direct stocks are having very good time , as the the Railway Budget date is nearing , one of the main stock to be noted here is Texmaco , it has gone up by more than 60 to 70 percent in just 2 weeks , time , they have a order book of almost 1300 crores.Anpther notes stock is kalindee rail nirman is also up by almost 60 percent or so , another stock is BEML which is up by almost 30 percent or so in just week or so .

Kalindee Rail Nirmal secures order worth 100 crore

Kalindee Rail Nirmal Engineers informed the market that they have won Orders worth Rs 99.99 Crores from Delhi Airpot Express line project .The Company is also in receipt of other work order of Rs 7.66 crores from RVNL, New Delhi and the Company is the lowest bidder in work contracts from South East Central Railway valued about Rs 40.46 crores.So there is more 50 crore order in pipeline which is to be won by them.

Larsen Toubro and Scomi togeather bags order worth 2460 Crore MonoRail Project

Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) informed the market today that Larsen and Toubro togeather woth Scomi had bagged Rs 24.6 Billion order or 2460 crore order from Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to implement the country’s first monorail system in Mumbai.We already know that Larsen Toubro is one of the best engineering & construction company with very good track record of implementing verylarge turn key projects and have finished all successfully .

Kernex Microsystems India bags order worth almost 80 crores

Kernex microsystem informed the market that it had one a contract on November 05, 2008 after market hours and its from Egyptian National Railways (ENR), Egypt for developing of 136 Level Crossings for Egyptian National Railways.The railway contract is worth about 17.50 Million US Dollars which includes the supply also.

The project is going to start in month of November and also in the mean while the Egyptian Railways is negotiating for developing additional 174 Level Crossing Railway gates for Egyptian National Railways, Egypt. So more order in pipeline , the Annualized EPS is around 3 rs so its already trading at 22 PE let it go down more then we can buy into this stock.

Maytas Infra awarded concession for Undertaking hyderabad Metro Rail Project

Maytas Infra Ltd has informed the market that they as part of the consortium of Nava Bharat Ventures Ltd, Maytas Infra Ltd, Italian-Thai Development Public Company Ltd and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd (“NMII Consortium”) has been awarded the Concession for undertaking the development of the Hyderabad Metro Rail (MRTS) Project on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (the “DBFOT”) basis to its Consortium comprising .
