These orders are scheduled to be completed by January 2009.You do the math how the results would be for the copming year.

tata_steelSAIL and Tata Steel Ltd signed a joint venture coal mining Company in the State of Jharkhand. Both the Company and Tata Steel will hold 50% each of the paid-up capital in the joint venture Company. The Joint Venture Company would initially be mining 4 nos. of identified coal blocks in India.
Sail has posted a net profit of Rs 17002.40 million for the
quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 14428.10 million
for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. Total Income has increased
from Rs 87678.60 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to
Rs 94677.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.
JSW Steel Ltd has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 5112.30 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 3463.00 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 22050.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 26187.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.
It showed a 70% raise in Net Profit ,The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 19018.80 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 11032.00 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total (net of excise) is Rs 106238.70 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 91553.10 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006.
Tata Steel Q4 result has been announced. It has posted net profit of Rs 1103.5 crore in Q4 versus Rs 783.1 crore on YoY basis.

Tata Steel Ltd has informed BSE that Tata Steel UK Ltd, indirect wholly owned subsidiary of the Company has acquired 7,136,094 of equity share capital of Corus Group Plc, UK at 601.75 pence per share on February 14, 2007.With the above purchase, Tata Steel UK holds 207,092,046 (21.9%) equity share capital of Corus Group Plc, UK.

Hindalco Industries Ltd has informed BSE that the Company and Novelis Inc. (NYSE: NVL) (TSX: NVL), the world’s leading producer of aluminum rolled products on February 11, 2007 has announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement for Hindalco to acquire Novelis in an all-cash transaction which values Novelis at approximately US$ 6 billion, including approximately US $ 2.40 billion of debt. Under the terms of the agreement, Novelis shareholders will receive US $ 44.93 in cash for each outstanding common share.
