Britannia Industries rose 176.83% to Rs 45.40 crore in December quarter of 2007 as compared to Rs 16.40 crore in the QOQ of December 2006. Sales rose 15.71% to Rs 656.40 crore in December quarter of 2007 as compared to Rs 567.30 crore in the QOQ of December 2006.

has been accepted by CFCL. However, the transaction is subject to execution of
definitive agreements by the parties.
Sugar producers such as Bajaj Hindusthan, Sakthi Sugars, Shree Renuka Sugars and Balrampur Chini Mills rose 5.2 to 6.5 per cent on firm international prices for sugar futures on Thursday. The New York Board of Trade’s May raw sugar contract rose 3.8 per cent and London’s May sugar futures closed up 3.5 per cent.
