Bloomberg has received news its seems that they will be opening the ipo on jan 15th and close on jan 18th 2008 and the IPO price is expected at 405 to 450 rs , not sure how much is true but we are sure that the IPO is going to open this month , and there are also rumours going around that retailers might get the IPO at a lesser rate as per SEBI guidelines which came in previous here , SEBI was suggesting the company to give it for a subsidiased price to Retailers so there participation is higher in the IPO.

Retailers participation is always high. It does not matter the subsidiaries price.
Thats always true priya , and also the price is reduced only if you apply for full lot of 1 lac i think.
Retail investors are eagerly waiting for RELIANCE GROUP any public issue for ever.
Reliance Power, I expect, will be approx 150 times over subscribed. Allotment will be less to retailers.
i also think that due to this IPO in news the whole Power sector will be in uptrend and i think due to this neyvelli lignite, torrent power NTPC etc will also have a dream run.So i think one should enter into these stocks also.
Good return on long investment but you may not get very good return on the date of listing.
I agree with Munish that it can oversubscribed by more than 150 times but good to apply.
who is a retailer?
Reliance Power IPO is highly waitied issue, do you know about employee getting any thing extra from others.
it is un imaginable, reliance may go for 150 times extra response…
Good question Ashwani who is retailer , You can call yourself as aretail Bidder based on the amt that you are going top invest if its less than 1 lac then you are a retailer , and if its more than 1 lac then you are not , in case of more than 1 lac you will be called a non institutional Bidder.
Hi Ravi , i have seen in other application a employee Quota but not in reliance energy .
So, is it, that if I apply for more than 1Lac then, I would be called as a non institutional Bidder and there by my chances of allotment are more? (Since, only around 10% of the total shares are for retailers)
i like to buy 200 reliance power stock
